In other news, I have an incredible amount of reading to do herp a derp. ALSO I've realized that I take so much slower for OOC comments than IC comments. I don't tag back that quickly, but there's just such a notable difference if there's ooc involved. It's. It's really sad.

Today on Scarfle's journal you get random links which is, quite frankly, not strange for me at all. Since I have a really squished schedule this quarter, I always play some games in between classes to try and pretend that literature is my burning passion and that I really look forward to reading ye olde english and oh my gosh why isn't this in english

FIRST, I think I got this from chat anyway, but hoo-oh. Literal music videos are a pretty rad thing and they're... music videos, sung literally. There's been a lot of other ones lately, too, and they're all pretty cool.

SECOND, if you're in the mood for a cute little game that makes you reflect on solitude and stuff, has an interesting premise, and a learning curve that is slow and easy (that's what she said), then you might enjoy The Company of Myself.

THIRD, Colour My World is an adorable game. It's not too challenging, the controls are pretty shlick, and it's just overall very sweet. The entire Colour series is nice, so you might want to check that out. I think I literally played this in the hour and a half between my classes, so it's pretty quick (that's what she said).

FOURTH, everybody has heard of this game but hnnngh it's just so fun. Achivement Unlocked and I just played for the third time after clicking that hnnnnnnngh. Basically metas around a bit, but it's pretty fun.

FIFTH is another website everybody knows but My Life is Average is so addicting. So addicting. And after I check that, I usually go and check Gives Me Hope.

SIXTH is Clockpunk, which is a really really cool blog from a Victorian-era scientist discovering magical creatures and it has really pretty pictures and it's cool.

On the more bloggy front, finished World War Z! It was pretty good, and I think a lot of thought was put into it. And now I've started Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, which will probably take me a while in between all my obligatory books. And yep!

In other news! I borrowed World War Z from the library. I have yet to start, but I am excited. I also discovered that in two of my classes, I will be starting out with Ye Olde Englishe. Why do I do this to myself. Is it because I hate myself? Is it because I loathe myself? Is it because I woke up that class registration date thinking, I hate my three-months-in-the-future self so much that I must register for these classes?

If I start typoing and making ridiculously long run-on sentences, this is the reason.

Introductions! I'm Scarfle, and I'm a college student with a sucky laptop. I'm pretty much the loser that people invite as a last-minute kindness. I don't have any particular special talents, except that when I fall half-asleep in class, I have half-jerky dreams that someone is IMing me and I need to respond. I'm more of an anime and manga person, and I have no idea what to write here. Nice to meet you kyun kyun desu kyaa, I will try to be a good friend waa. So, as promised, have a meme.

The How's My Driving? Meme

It just felt so recently that we had one of these--but then again, that just might be representative heuristics talkin' since the last time we did one of these I had to repost my comment like twenty times. If you see one just floating around, go ahead and comment on that one if you'd like, I get the notif just the same.

Also we were reading this pretty interesting article for sociology about shyness and I was just curious about what you guys thought about yourselves in terms of shyness. If you have time, can you answer these questions? Totes okay if you don't, or if you're too uh shy. This isn't for a sochul experuhment or anything, the confounding factors and biases would make me cry, but just out of curiosity.

1. Do you consider yourself as shy? (If yes, please answer the following questions! If not, you don't have to!)
2. Do you consider this a problem in functioning in everyday life?
3. In comparison to an "ideal person" operating in society, do you see yourself as lacking social skills? Do you see yourself as an operational member of society? Or something else?
4. Would you seek help for your shyness? Have you? If so, how would you go about it? (Medicine, therapy, self-help books?)
5. What is the most extreme case of shyness you have suffered?
6. And the most biased question of them all, do you consider me as more or less an operational member of society in comparison to you?

My left eye has been weirdly pulsating and throbbing lately. Hrnnnn it's probably nothing, but I went ahead and Googled it (because Internet diagnoses are always accurate!) and it said it might be stress and/or staring at the computer too long.

What has surprised you the most about me (if anything) since joining my flist/"friending me"? Was anything completely unexpected or have I always fit the picture of me you have in your head?
